#9 - 24 hours after #8, Boks wakes up

Remarkable!

24 hours after I posted #8 - Boks Defies Villaraigosa Directive (click the link) the work that Ed Boks failed to do since 5/2 is now finally done.

Here's a recap:

April: Mayor Daniel complained about a shelter condition

May 2: Jim Bickhart, the junior mayor, advised Boks that there were ready-made signs for the shelters that will help the situation, and that "it's important to get these signs posted as soon as possible."

May 2 - 24: Boks did nothing. 3+ weeks of nothing.

May 21: Boks declared at the Commission that the signs "are now and always have been in the shelters." Which, as Bickhart hustled to correct him, was untrue.

May 23: Mayor Daniel posted "#8 - Boks Defies Villaraigosa Directive" (click the link)

May 24: Bickhart scrambled to cover for Boks, and finally got the signs posted - 3 days after Boks asserted that it was already done.


Summary:

Boks did nothing for three weeks after receiving an "IMPORTANT" Mayoral request.

When Boks was exposed by this 'blog, the job was done in 24 hours.
